As my mama used to say, “Hey Sweet Friends!” I just got back from a much needed trip to Charleston! My stepsisters and I haven’t had a girls weekend in years, so this was long overdue!
For our weekend getaway, we found the PERFECT place to stay. Our Airbnb was the cutest farmhouse tucked just 15 minutes outside of downtown Charleston.
This two bedroom, two bath house was the perfect size. The 3 of us had more than enough room. This house was the perfect combination of feminine and rustic. We felt right at home! There is also an upstairs guest suite that can be rented out separately!

Our hostess, Darby, was so attentive and responsive. Check-in was easy and she sent over numerous recommendations for breakfast, lunch and dinner. She was also extremely helpful with advising which beaches we should visit along with other things to do while we were there!
Our first night there, we ventured downtown for a candle making class! Charleston Candle Company did a great job not only teaching us how to make candles, but also the history behind this family owned business. The building itself had once been a bank and even has its original vault door! We learned about the different types of waxes, scents, and all that goes into making a custom candle. Those taking the class also receive 10% off the store as well!

Shopping On Kings Street
The next day we woke up, grabbed a coffee, and headed to the infamous King Street to do some shopping! This strip has all you could imagine!

Rainy Day Movie Marathon
A few hours after our shopping extravaganza, the rain began to roll in. So we headed back to our Airbnb, put our comfy clothes on, turned the fireplace on and watched movie after movie (while dozing in and out of consciousness, haha!) Nothing is better than a lazy, rainy day and this house was MADE for that!

Isle of Palms
Thankfully, we were able to steal a little bit of sunshine before we headed back and spent some time at Isle Of Palms. I am a HUGE seashell person so I spent about two hours looking for shells and found a lot of little treasures.

Between shelling, reading and floating, our beach day was a success.
I look forward to going back and trying new things, but one thing will stay the same…I will definitely be staying at Darby’s Farmhouse. ❤
xx,
Meg
